First Capital Connect Class 313 Refresh

* Application of First Capital Connect livery
* Replacement of lino flooring with ‘easy to clean’ smooth vinyl flooring
* Installation of wheelchair parking area in the PTSO vehicle - carried out during the WAGN Railway refurbishment programme
* Retrimmed seat moquette into new moquette trim

(the original low back seats were replaced with high back seats during the WAGN Railway refurbishment programme)

Note that these trains ran on Great Northern for a few years before being cascaded/transferred to North London Lines around 1986, before being cascaded/transferred back to Great Northern around 2010 !
Each Class 313 EMU train is powered by eight GEC G310AZ traction motors.

* Installation of EAO series 56 ‘easy to see, easy to press’ yellow circular LED Passenger Door Control buttons
* Replacement of lino flooring with ‘easy to clean’ smooth vinyl flooring
* New dado side panels and repainted wall ends
* Retrimmed seat moquette into new moquette trim
* Improved window frames
* Repainted ceilings

The refurbishment work took place at Bombardier Derby Works.

Class 317/6

WAGN Railway Class 317/6 Refurbishment

This was probably the most extensive refurbishment programme undertaken as it replaced interiors dating from mid 1980s

with a brand new train look, based on the Class 365 Networker Express design.

* Application of WAGN Railway livery
* Replacement of original lino flooring with carpets throughout
* New dado side panels and repainted wall ends
* Installation of wheelchair parking area in the TSO vehicle, located next to the toilets
* The toilets were refurbished with new flooring, dado panels and ceiling
* The existing seats in the 2+3 layout were replaced by new high back bespoke seats to the 2+2 layout
* Replacement of existing overhead luggage rack with new transparent design
* Replacement of First Class cabin in TCO vehicle (which then became TSO vehicle) with new First Class cabin in DTCO vehicle

with new high back bespoke seats to the 2+2 layout
* Improved interior saloon lighting diffusers
* Repainted ceilings

The refurbishment work took place at Railcare Wolverton Works.

Abellio Greater Anglia Class 317/6 West Anglia EMU train refresh

The refresh featured the following enhancements:

* New 'easy to clean' vinyl flooring in Standard Class
* Repainted sanchlions and luggage rack tips in red
* Repainted dado side panels and wall ends
* Retrimmed seats in new moquette trim

* Replacement of original lino flooring with carpets throughout
* New dado side panels and repainted wall ends
* Installation of wheelchair parking area in the TSO vehicle, located next to the toilets
* The toilets were refurbished with new flooring, dado panels and ceiling. One toilet replaced by RVAR curved teardrop accessible toilet
* The existing seats in the 2+3 layout were replaced by new high back bespoke seats to the 2+2 layout
* Replacement of some seats with two vertical luggage stacks per a vehicle
* Replacement of existing overhead luggage rack with new transparent design
* Replacement of First Class cabin in TCO vehicle (which then became TSO vehicle) with new First Class cabin in DTCO vehicle
with new high back bespoke seats to the 2+1 layout
* Improved interior saloon lighting diffusers
* Replacement of pressure ventilation by installation of air conditioning equipment
* Repainted ceilings

The refurbishment work took place at Railcare Wolverton Works.

Class 321

First Capital Connect Class 321 Refresh

* The existing carpet was replaced by new carpet
* The toilets were refurbished with new flooring, dado panels and ceiling 
* Repainted grab poles and repainted seat top hand grabs 
* New dado side panels and repainted wall ends 
* Retrimmed seat moquette into new moquette trim 
* New carpets and retrimmed seats in new moquette trim in First Class cabin 
* All overhead luggage rack tips painted 
* Installation of improved interior saloon lighting diffusers 
* Repainted ceilings

Please note that the Class 321 EMU trains mainly work London Kings Cross - Peterborough services, some London Kings Cross - Cambridge services and Peak Hours services London Kings Cross - Welwyn Garden City. These trains mostly appear
Monday to Friday and very rarely do they work London Kings Cross - Peterborough services on a Saturday.

There is a total of thirteen Class 321 in use with First Capital Connect.

Thameslink Southern Great Northern (TSGN) refurbished Class 365 Networker Express

The refurbishment featured the following enhancements:

* Retrimmed carpets in new moquette trim in First Class cabin
* Replacement of carpet with vinyl flooring in Standard Class
* Retrimmed seats in new moquette trim
* New dado side panels
* Repainted window surrounds and wall ends
* Repainted stanchions and seat top hand grips
* Refurbished toilets with new vinyl flooring, repainted walls and repainted stanchions
* Installation of LED lighting

There are thirty one Class 313/0 Great Northern Electric EMU trains (313018 and 313035 - 313064)
and they were built by BREL York 1976-77. All were refurbished at Railcare Wolverton Works.

There are sixty one Class 315 EMU trains (315801 - 315861) and they were built by BREL York 1980 - 1981.
All were given an exterior relivery and interior refurbishment at Bombardier, Derby Works 2005.

There are twelve Class 317/1 EMU trains (317337 - 317348) and they were built by BREL York 1981 - 1983.
All were given an exterior relivery and interior refresh at Wabtec Rail, Doncaster Works.

There are twenty four Class 317/2 EMU trains (317649 - 317672) and they were built by BREL York 1985 - 1987.
All were given an exterior relivery and interior refurbishment at Railcare, Wolverton Works during 1998 - 2000.
This fleet now work West Anglia services.

There are thirteen Class 321/4 EMU trains (321401 - 321410 and 321418 - 321420) and they were built by BREL York 1990.
All were given an exterior relivery by Wabtec Rail, Doncaster Works and an interior refresh at Hornsey TMD.
This fleet works Great Northern services.

There are forty Class 365 EMU trains (365501 - 365525 and 365527 - 365541) and they were built by ABB York 1994 - 1995.
All were given an exterior relivery and interior refresh at Hornsey TMD.
Note that units 365501 - 365516 were originally with South Eastern.

Both Greater Anglia fleets of Class 317 and Class 321 are maintained at Ilford Depot. 
Each Class 365 EMU train is powered by eight GEC G354CX traction motors.
