Road traffic waits at Mount Pleasant Crossing for two Network SouthEast EMUs to pass; a 4VEP on a Southampton to Eastleigh local and a 4 CIG forming a Waterloo o Brockenhurst semi-fast service.
Picture
Approaching St Denys station on foot from the Adelaide Road entrance. The Network SouthEast promotional caravan is in the car park.
Picture
A pair of ‘Wessex Electrics’ sweeps around the curve past the overgrown Bevois Park Yard and along the shoreline, illustrating the length of this part of the scenic section.
Picture
A busy scene at Bevois Park, with a 4CIG on the down slow, an InterCity Cross Country HST on the up fast and the Fawley to Tavistock Junction tanks recessed in the no.1 reception siding.
Picture
With a stopping service in platform 4 a Wessex Electric glides through platform 2.
Picture
4CIG unit no. 1887 negotiates the sharp curves through platform 4 as it comes off the Fareham line and proceeds along the down slow to Southampton.

 My ''NETWORK SOUTHEAST YEARS'' book

The Network SouthEast Years Book
Picture
Chris Green OBE and myself as I presented him with a copy.
Here, I recall some of my personal memories from the NSE era and utilise photographs from my own personal collection, as well as sharing the work of others.
Network SouthEast truly changed the way railways were run and operated and laid the foundations for the railway of the present day.
